Antique doll Roma 16, Plass & Roesner, Austria 1913

An antique Austrian doll Plass & Roesner, Roma 1913, is an infrequent visitor to the doll market.
As you can see in the photos, her fingertips are partially missing. She needs a good house and proper restoration. The head is made of porcelain, the legs and arms are made of wood, and the body is made of papier-mâché.
The factory Plass & Roesner in Bolkhov (Austria-Hungary) was founded in 1902. The floor was varnished and specialized in the production of miniature porcelain dolls and heads for them. In 1908, the company was acquired by Josef Plass and his partner Roesner, who in 1913 modernized the factory and expanded the product range, starting to produce coffee and tea sets, painted mugs and small beer mugs. The factory operated until 1944, when it ceased operations due to the effects of World War II.
