Original Antique silver plated biscuit box by James Deakin & Sons made in Sheffield, England, the end of the 19th century.
The company was founded in Sheffield in 1865 by James Deakin. Their trademark was James Deakin & Co., and in 1871 he worked with his three sons, William, John, and Albert, to change the firm's name to Deakin James & Sons. In 1888, the company opened offices and stores in London, as well as branches in Glasgow and Belfast. In 1897, it changed its name again to James Deakin & Sons Ltd. It closed in 1936.
The antique biscuit box has the original manufacturer's label. There is a certificate of authenticity issued by an Italian jewelry company.
Very good vintage condition.
