Beautiful antique pewter tray or fruit bowl made in Italy at the mid of the 20th century. Amazing large oval pewter plate with fluted edges and a beautiful patina of time.
Pewter is a malleable metal alloy consisting of tin (85–99%), antimony (approximately 5–10%), copper (2%), bismuth, and sometimes silver. Pewter is an attractive metal which has been used for the production of household and other items since Roman times.
The tray has the original manufacturer's label.
Good vintage condition, with patina. The tray probably used to have handles.
