Pendant lamp by Pia Guidetti Crippa for Lumi, Italy 1960s
Beautiful designer pendant lamp made in Italy. Designed by Pia Guidetti Grippa in the 1960s and produced by LUMI Milano in the following years.
Pia Guidetti Crippa studied at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and graduated in 1967. After that, he dedicated herself to furniture and lighting design, collaborating with the Lumi company founded by Carlo Antonio Crippa in Milan in 1944. For thirty years, she has been creating lighting designs for Lumia. Her lamps are known for their scenic qualities and functional design, with rounded lines that give them a unique look.
LUMI has been included in the important catalog of “Italian Design Companies: 1950-2000” by Giuliana Gramigni, which means that she is among 127 famous names representing our “made in Italy” style and taste.
The lamp is in good vintage condition.

Lamp requires European 4 x E27 lightbulb and compatible with E26 USA socket. Works with standard bulbs, LED or halogen, 220V for Europe and 110V for the USA. Three lightbulb are located at the base of the lamp (on top in white glass part), the fourth lightbulb is at the bottom (visible in photos through the clear glass).
