Behold the exceptional mid-century Murano glass pendant lamp designed by Carlo Nason, model LT338 for Mazzega. This lamp is a true rarity, a testament to the impeccable craftsmanship and innovative design of the era. This extraordinary pendant lamp features four hemispheres of varying sizes, meticulously crafted from Murano glass, adorned with a mesmerizing array of small bubbles, known as Pulegoso glass. These hemispheres are ingeniously stacked upon each other and secured to a central metal cylinder. The lamp's robust suspension, including a matching canopy, ensures its stability due to its substantial weight. The glass elements have been carefully produced using the 'Pulegoso' technique, a method popularized in the 1920s. During the glassblowing process, gasoline is skillfully introduced into the molten glass, causing it to fervently bubble, resulting in a myriad of minuscule, irregularly shaped air bubbles. This intentional inclusion of unconventional bubbles artfully obscures the transparency of the glass, creating a mesmerizing visual effect. This vintage masterpiece is presented in impeccable condition, allowing the glass's exceptional quality to shine through. Carlo Nason, born in 1935 in Murano, Venice, hails from a lineage of esteemed glassmakers. His father, Vincenzo Nason, founded the renowned glass business NasonMoretti and later established another enterprise named Vincenzo Nason & C in 1941. From a young age, Carlo Nason underwent comprehensive training in the art of glassblowing, gaining an intimate knowledge of glass's unique properties and the intricate techniques required for shaping and embellishing it. The lamp's wiring has been expertly designed for global compatibility, ensuring it can be enjoyed in homes around the world. With a maximum height, including the cable, of 150 cm, this lamp commands a truly impressive presence in any space it graces. Width: 50 centimeters Height: 45 centimeters
