Willy Rizzo for Mario Sabot 1 of 6 dining chair Italy 1970s
Gorgeous dining chairs designed by Willy Rizzo for Mario Sabot in Italy in the 1970s.
An ingenious photographer turned furniture designer because, according to him, "Scandinavian furniture were neither comfortable enough nor luxurious enough." He created the first furniture for his own apartment. Willy Rizzo never set out to be a furniture designer, it was just that his friends saw what he did in his apartment and fell in love with his furniture. Magnificent geometric shapes, elegant simplicity, comfort and solidity. The originality of his furniture comes from his independence as a designer who has never copied or collaborated, which explains this striking and very different style.
Good vintage condition, there are slight signs of wear.
