Beautiful pink murano vase by Archimede Seguso made in Italy in the 1950s.
Archimede Seguso was an Italian glass artist known for his exquisite glass vases, necklaces, and sculptures. His work spanned a wide range of shapes and colors, including animals and abstract forms. Born in Murano, Italy in 1909, he was a member of a long line of Italian glassmakers that had been creating exquisite glassware for over six centuries. Seguso led a revival of the ancient Venetian technique of filigrana, a lattice-like pattern, in his work. He ran the family business, Seguso Vetri d'Arte, from 1937 to 1942. The company continues to create beautiful glassworks that are now part of the collections of renowned museums such as The Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
It is very well-preserved, It represents the patina expected from a glass object over 50 years old.
